A new banking regulation called PSD2 (Payment Services Directive) requires that a login to a bank account needs to be confirmed via two or more factors categorised as knowledge (i.e., something only the user knows), possession (i.e., something only the user possesses), and inherence (i.e., something the user is).


Hence, when you log in the Penta App, you will need to verify your login via a TAN in addition to your password. As with normal payments, this will be send via SMS to your mobile number, which is saved in your Penta account. Simply type in the TAN you received within 5 minutes to proceed with the login. 


This will further increase the security of your account and ensure that the person making the login is really you. Together with our banking partner, solarisBank, we are working on a device binding solution which will make this whole journey even smoother over the next months.
