The new Payment Service Directive (PSD2) requires users to authenticate themselves with at least two factors when logging into online banking. The login must be composed of two of these three factors:


  • "Knowledge," for example the PIN
  • "Possession," for example the smartphone
  • "Inherence", for example the fingerprint


Therefore, when logging in to your Penta business account, it is also necessary to authorize yourself with a second factor in addition to entering your password.


The 2-factor-authentication is done by a smsTAN, which we send to your cell phone number stored for the Penta business account. Simply enter the smsTAN you receive within five minutes to proceed with the login.
