A new banking regulation called PSD2 (Payment Services Directive) requires that login to a bank account needs to be confirmed via two or more factors categorized as knowledge (i.e., something only the user knows), possession (i.e., something only the user possesses), and inherence (i.e., something the user is).

Hence, when you log in to the Penta App, you will need to verify your login via a TAN in addition to your password. As with normal payments, this will be sent via SMS to your mobile number, which is saved in your Penta account. Simply type in the TAN you received within 5 minutes to proceed with the login.
