Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) is a requirement of PSD2, which asks businesses to use at least two authentication elements to verify electronic payments. The point of this is to reduce fraud and make online payments more secure for the customers. Banks will start to decline SCA required payments that don’t meet the SCA criteria from the merchant’s side.

If your transaction was declined, because the merchant did not trigger 3DS, our customer support team will be happy to help you from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekdays by phone at +49 30 255 585 803 or via email at help@getpenta.com.
